Donald Faison was born in New York City. The actor's second name, "Eidiosan", translated from the Yoruba language means "I put on the crown of Oshun". It was invented by his parents after a trip to Nigeria. Donald Faison has four brothers, the youngest of whom, Olamide Faison, is a member of the American R&B group Imajin .
Donald has four children: the eldest son from childhood friend Audrey Ince, the other three from Lisa Asuka, whom he married in 2001. The couple divorced in 2005.
