Born on February 13, 1898.
In 1920-24. - Actor of the Proletkult Theater (Moscow).
In 1925 he played his first film role - Worker in a cap ("Strike"). One of the most significant works of Antonov during the silent film period was the role of Vakulinchuk in the film "Battleship" Potemkin "(1926). Subsequently he played many roles, mainly characteristic. His performing manner is characterized by restraint, austerity of expressive means.

He passed away on November 23, 1962.
