Born on April 15, 1960 in Moscow into a working class family.
After graduating from high school in 1977-79. Demin studied at the 3-year course of decorators at the Mosfilm film studio, in 1979-80 he studied at the Moscow Art School as a cinema decorator.
From 1977 to 1990 he worked as a decorator at the Mosfilm film studio, watchman, sitter, graphic designer, typographic worker, janitor, etc. He was a member of various informal unions of avant-garde artists, participated in unofficial exhibitions (the first one was in 1978 on Suvorovsky Boulevard).
He was a decorator for the films Dangerous Friends (1979), The Velvet Season (1978), The Comedy of Lysistratus (1989).
The author of the historical and theological research "Race War", and the main character of his own documentary and journalistic memoir - "My Stages".
In addition to cinema and television, in the period 1987-2000, he worked in Moscow theater studios, illustrated books, magazines and other periodicals, taught drawing, painting, composition in art studios, gave private lessons, preparing applicants for admission to art schools. At this time, his paintings and graphic works could be seen at sales exhibitions in the country and abroad, in art salons and at auctions. Some of them still adorn museums and private collections in Europe and America.
