In his native Novosibirsk, Pavel met a young singer Alexander Medvedev, who later began performing on stage under the name Shura, and together they composed a number of songs. At the same time, Pavel left for Germany, where, together with his friend Eric Chanturia, he created the project "Orbit" and through the studio of the same name worked with the singer Shura. Pavel wrote all the music and prepared all the arrangements for Shura's albums "Shura" and "Shura 2". Shura's first album was a great success, and the second one even more. In 1998, Pavel and Eric presented the Hi-Fi group to the public - a trio of Mitya Fomin, Oksana Oleshko and Timofey Pronkin. The group became famous from the very first months of its existence. Some of the songs from Hi-Fi's debut album "First Contact" were previously included in the repertoire of "Orbit" .
It was Pavel Yesenin who performed all the songs of the Hi-Fi group until the departure of Mitya Fomin. In an interview in 2011, Pavel admitted that Fomin only opened his mouth to his soundtrack. According to Fomin, he successfully “animated” Yesenin's singing (and Mitya’s voice was very similar to Pavel’s voice, which became clear only when he began to sing solo and live).
