Jewel Shepard is an American photographer, writer and actress best known for her roles in films such as Party Camp and The Return of the Living Dead.
After a number of small TV roles, Shepard burst into big cinema with The Junkman. She has starred in numerous films such as Yellow Pages and The Cooler.
Jewel has also written for publications such as Premiere, Cosmopolitan and The Associated Press. Her autobiography, "If I'm So Famous, How Come Nobody's Ever Heard of Me?" detailing some of the least glamorous aspects of filmmaking and her experience in the adult entertainment industry, was published in 1996.
Shepard has been battling invasive breast cancer since 2011 and has undergone chemotherapy, lymph node removal and double mastectomy.
