Gennady Krynkin was born in Moscow in the spring of 1937. After graduating from school, the young man entered one of the higher institutions of the USSR, the Leningrad Military Engineering School. Then he also studied at the Automotive Institute in Moscow. For some time he worked in a printing house.
In 1958 he decided to become an actor and began to study this profession at the Studio at the Central Children's Theater. Three years later, immediately after completing his studies, he received an offer to play in Sovremennik. He worked in it for two years, until in 1963 he moved to the Theater of the Soviet Army. It was with this institution that the entire subsequent life and work of the actor was closely connected. The main roles of Gennady Krynkin were played on his stage. Many of Gennady's images went down in the history of Soviet theater. The actor had charisma and a strong temperament, was by nature endowed with not only a memorable appearance, but also a special voice, low and thick. His manner of pronouncing monologues was interesting - he did it as if through force, which made the characters he played became even more realistic and convincing.
In the same 1963, Gennady first began acting in films. His acting career includes 15 films. The first film with Gennady Krynkin was called If you're right, in it he played the role of Kolya. Krynkin also starred in such films as Mistress of the Bear River, Nefertiti, Early in the Morning, Article, Teresa Carrar's Rifles, Leap, Near You, Warm Place.
Gennady died on June 22, 2008 in Moscow. He was 71 years old. The actor's body was cremated, an urn with ashes was buried on the territory of the Kuzminsky cemetery.
