Born February 25, 1950 in County Sligo, Ireland in the family of a professor.
After graduating from the University of Dublin with a degree in Irish History and English Literature, Jordan publishes a collection of stories, A Night in Tunisia (1976) and writes the novel The Past (1980) .
Jordan begins his film career as a co-writer of the film "Excalibur" by John Burman.
In 1982, Jordan's debut film, Angel, was released - a crime thriller based on his own script.
