Before the Moscow Art Theater School, he studied for four years at the Moscow Institute of Electronic Technology (Zelenograd) .
He graduated from the Moscow Art Theater School in 1982 (course of O. Efremov) and was accepted into the troupe of the Moscow Art Theater.
In 1988 he worked at the Theater-Studio "Man" .
In 1991 he staged the play Platonov on the Small Stage of the Moscow Art Theater and played the main role in it. On the main stage he staged "Crying in a Handful" and "Storm" .
Lecturer at the Department of Acting at the Moscow Art Theater School.
