Born on July 31 (August 13) 1901 in the village of Lozova-Pavlovka (now Bryanka, Lugansk region of Ukraine). Soon after his birth, the family moved to Nolinsk, Vyatka province.
In 1926 he graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Performing Arts. In 1926-1930 - actor of the Leningrad Youth Theater, also performed in the music hall, then - the actor of the Leningrad Red Theater, New Youth Theater, in 1945-1950 - actor of the Film Actor's Studio Theater, in 1950-1965 - the A.S. Pushkin, since 1966 - the Moscow State Theater named after N. V. Gogol. In 1955-1963 - teacher at VGIK. Boris Chirkov was the nephew of VM Molotov. The wife is the actress Lyudmila Genika-Chirkova. Deputy of the USSR Armed Forces of the 4th convocation (1950-1954) .
B.P. Chirkov died on May 28, 1982. He was buried in Moscow at the Novodevichy cemetery (plot number 10).
