He took lessons in painting and sculpture in private schools in Vladivostok (1925-1930), graduated from the theater and decoration department of an art studio (1933, ibid.).
He worked in clubs and theaters in Vladivostok and Moscow.
In cinema - since 1935, production designer at the Odessa and Kiev film studios (since 1950), worked for film and television. According to his script, he directed the film "The Flying Ship" (1960).
