Was born on October 9, 1940 in Moscow.
Graduated from the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (1963, workshop of Mikhail Romm).
In 1961-1964 he was an actor of the Moscow Youth Theater, one of the founders and an actor of the Experimental Theater-Studio of Pantomime ("Ektemim") under the direction of A. Rumnev.
In 1965-1972 he was an actor of the Moscow theater named after A.S. Pushkin, since 1972 - an actor at the Maly Theater.
People's Artist of the Russian Federation (1994) .
The actor died in his Moscow apartment on January 4, 1995 at the age of 55. He was buried in the 2nd section of the Troekurovsky cemetery in Moscow.
