April 28, 1927 - October 13, 1996 - Ukrainian composer and teacher.
In 1951 he graduated from the composition department of the Kiev Conservatory in the class of B. N. Lyatoshinsky, in 1954 - graduate school.
In 1951 he worked in Kiev as editor of the publishing house "Mystestvo", in 1951-1952 - head of the musical department of the Kiev Choreographic School, and in 1952-1955 - teacher of theoretical disciplines at the Kiev Conservatory.
From 1958 to 1962 he taught theoretical disciplines at the Kursk School of Music. Gave creative concerts in Kursk. Since 1973 Shchurovsky is the senior editor of the department of musical and pedagogical literature of the publishing house "Muzichna Ukraine".
