Emmanuel Vitorgan is the People's Artist of Russia and was born on December 27, 1939 in Baku. The family of the future actor was from Odessa. Quite frequent moves from one city to another, ended with the fact that the future star of the film Sorcerers graduated from elementary school already in Astrakhan, and then left to conquer Moscow. However, he soon went to Leningrad, where he finally became a student at a higher acting university. He graduated from LGITMiK in 1961, where fate brought him to his first wife.
Upon completion of his studies at the institute, Emmanuil Gedeonovich was accepted into the acting troupe of the Pushkin Theater. Two years later, he went to work at the Leningrad Drama and Comedy Theater. A significant event in his life was his acquaintance with Alla Balter. She became his second wife, and a little later they moved to Moscow, where the actor got a job at the Stanislavsky Moscow Drama Theater.
Around the same time, films with Emmanuel Vitorgan began to be released. His first work was in the movie Man with a Future in 1960. Since then, for about ten years, the actor has not actively participated in the filming of feature films. Since the seventies of the last century, he began to appear much more often on the screens of Soviet paintings.
