She began as a ballet dancer at the Saratov Opera and Ballet Theater. In 1932 she moved to Moscow. From 1936 to 1940 she studied at the acting school at "Mosfilm".
From 1945 to 1947 she was an actress of the Variety and Miniatures Theater, from 1947 to 1958 she was an actress in the Film Actor's Studio Theater.
In 1958 she moved to the Gorky Film Studio, where she worked until her retirement in 1984.
Since 1946 she has been dubbing and dubbing foreign films.
Natalya Gitserot was married to actors Anthony Khodursky and Vladimir Balashov.
The actress was buried in Moscow at the 29th section of the Danilovsky cemetery.
