Alexander Lebedev was born on December 26, 1930 in Voskresensk (Moscow region). In 1953 he graduated from the State Institute of Theater Arts named after V.I. Lunacharsky (course of Olga Ivanovna Pyzhova). In the same year he began working at the Central Children's Theater. In 1954-1955 he was an actor of the Moscow Regional Theater of the Young Spectator. He was on the staff of the Mosfilm film studio and the Film Actor's Studio Theater. Started acting in films in 1954. The debut was the role of a sailor in the film by Mikhail Kalatozov "True Friends". He starred in more than a hundred films.
