The group was formed in 1998 in Milan. In the beginning, the team consisted of only two members - Masha and Elio Alien. The meeting of these two personalities happened by chance, namely, in a music store. The original, aggressively melodic sound of the band attracted the attention of the record label GUN Records, which by that time had already managed to please the musical audience with the Guano Apes project. In 2000, Exilia signed a contract, in the same year their first creation was released: the album "Rightside Up".
The next album, Unleashed, which debuted in May 2004, entered the Top 40 of the German charts.
