Alexey Safonov - biography, date of birth, place of birth, filmography, clips.
Born October 8, 1938 in the town of Zagorsk (Sergiev Posad) near Moscow. Graduated from VGIK, course of Olga Ivanovna Pyzhova, after graduation he was enrolled in the staff of the Gorky Film Studio. In the early 1990s, the acting staff of the Gorky Film Studio virtually collapsed. Safonov, together with pianist Viktor Lenzon, makes a musical and poetic program "Scriabin and the Silver Age of Russian Poetry", where he reads poems by Ivanov, Mandelstam and Pasternak to the music of Scriabin. Then he begins to write plays. In total, the Ministry of Culture purchased four of Safonov's plays. Two of them saw performances in St. Petersburg and Moscow. At the same time, he is mastering a new type of activity - voiceover. First as an actor, and then becomes a voice-over director. Honored Artist of Russia (1991).
