American actor BD Wong hails from San Francisco, where he was born in 1960 to a Chinese family. Wong's father was a postal employee and his mother worked for a telephone company. Bradley received his primary education at the Abraham Lincoln School. It was there, participating in numerous school plays, that he discovered his love for the stage. After school, Wong continued his studies at the University of San Francisco.
As a theater artist, Bradley Darryl achieved his first success in 1988, participating in the play M. Butterfly on Broadway. The performance garnered a host of awards, some of which went directly to Wong.
Bradley soon succeeded as a serial actor. The psychiatrist's role in the multi-year television project Law and Order brought him international fame. Wong's roles in American Girl and Prison of Oz, as well as guest roles in The X-Files and Sesame Street, have benefited his career.
