Born April 14, 1968 in West Roxbury, a small town on the outskirts of Boston, Massachusetts. He is the only child from his mother's first marriage, jazz singer Mercedes Hall. When he was six months old, his parents divorced. At the age of three, he moved with his mother to the West Coast, where she found work. They soon returned and eventually moved to New York, where Hall grew up. He has a sister, Maria, born of his mother's second marriage. Started using the name Anthony Michael because another actor named Michael Hall is already a member of the Screen Actors Guild.
