Born July 17, 1963 in Jyvaskyla, Finland - the famous Finnish ski jumper on skis, four-time Olympic champion (1984 - from 90 m springboard, 1988 - from 70, 90 m and in team competitions), silver medalist of the 1984 Olympic Games in jumping from a 70-meter springboard, 4-time (including the youngest in history) world champion in the team (1982, 1985, 1987, 1989), two-time winner of the "Tour of the Four Hillside" (1983, 1988).
