Was born in 1964 in the North Caucasus.
In 1985 he graduated from the acting department of the Moscow Art Theater School, worked at the Moscow Pushkin Theater.
Author of the plays "First Snow", "Deadly Number".
The premiere of the play "First Snow" took place in 1992, in New York at the Soho Rap Theater. The play "First Snow" was included by Yale University in the course "Contemporary Russian Drama".
Based on Oleg Antonov's play "Death Number", Vladimir Mashkov staged a performance of the same name at the theater under the direction of Oleg Tabakov.
The Deadly Act was recognized as the best performance of the 1994 season and was awarded the Crystal Turandot prize, and in 1997 the play itself was translated into English, French and German and staged in theaters in Germany, France and Finland.
