Actor, director, screenwriter.
Graduated from Zaporozhye Technical School of Mechanical Engineering (1930), acting and
directing department of the Kiev Institute of Theatrical Art (1935), postgraduate studies at this institute (1937).
In 1935-1937 he was an actor and director of the Ivan Franko Kiev Drama Theater.
In 1940 he was an actor of the Kiev Youth Theater.
In 1937-1941 he was a teacher at the Institute of Theater Arts (Kiev).
Member of the Great Patriotic War.
In 1942-1956 he was a director of a number of theaters in Zaporozhye, Voroshilovgrad, Vinnitsa, Kiev.
Since 1956 - director of the Kiev Film Studio named after A.P. Dovzhenko.
