Born on February 25, 1918 in Noginsk (until 1930 - Bogorodsk), Moscow Governorate.
Graduated from the drama department of the State Opera and Drama Studio named after K.S. Stanislavsky (1941).
Actor of the Film Actor Theater-Studio in Moscow. From 1950 to the mid-1960s, he worked as a staff actor at the Kiev Film Studio. Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1955). People's Artist of the RSFSR (1965) .
He passed away on August 23, 1986 in Moscow. The urn with the actor's ashes is buried in the 23rd section of the Vvedenskoye cemetery in Moscow.
