Born on September 29, 1947 in the city of Starye Dorogi, Belarus.
Graduated from the film directing department of the Kiev Institute of Theatrical Art in 1978. In the same year, he was invited to work in the staff of the Odessa Film Studio as a production director, where he worked until 1990.
In 1991-1992 he worked at Lenfilm.
Member of the Union of Cinematographers since 1987.
Passed away on November 17, 2005.
