Pierre Vernier (real name Pierre Louis Rayet) was born in Saint-Jean-d'Angeli (France) on May 25, 1931. He made his film debut in 1951 thanks to Claude Chabrol, but became famous after playing a role in the TV series "Piquancy" ("Rocambole "). He was noticed and appreciated; he subsequently worked with such great actors and directors as Jean Gabin, Henry Verneil, Andre Delvaux and Joseph Lohse. Pierre Vernier has starred a lot with Jean-Paul Belmondo, who is one of his best friends.
