Soviet film actress Galina Petrovna Orlova was born on January 17, 1949 in Moldova, but later the family moved to Odessa. Orlova's parents divorced early, and Galina was raised by her mother, Nina Mikhailovna, an analytical chemist and pharmacist in a pharmacy.
