Grew up in the capital of the United States - Washington. I got my first auditions in 1977 at the age of 16. However, only at 23, in 1984 he moved to New York, where he performed on Broadway, including with actress Ellen Burstyn in the production of Sacrilege. He worked for several years at The Cucaracha Theater Company. He later appeared in off-Broadway theaters such as The Vineyard Theater, Playwright Horizons, Soho Rep, and The Flea and The Atlantic.

Married to actress Wilker White. Together with her and two children, he lives in New York, Brooklyn.
