Born December 16, 1979 in Dresden, East Germany in a military family.
Novikov's great-grandfather was a lieutenant general, commander of tank forces, his grandfather was a major general of tank forces, and his father was a battalion commander. He was destined for a military career. After graduation, he went to a military school.
