Composer, performer, producer. Honored. art. RF. Doctor of Arts (1997) and Honorary Professor of the International. Academy of Sciences (San Marino). Graduated from the Musical College named after. October Revolution with a degree in choir conductor (1956); Higher Directing Courses at GITIS (1973). He directed the choir at the music school. I. Dunaevsky, from 1957 in the All-Russian State Educational Committee (Mosconcert) as a pianist-accompanist (he also worked as a member of the concert ensemble of trumpet player M. Volakh). He was fond of jazz improvisation. At the same time, Igor Granov began to write the first songs - "Lullaby", "Birches of the Russian Stan Snow White", etc. In 1958 he created a small jazz group (piano, double bass, drums, guitar), in the repertoire of works by Soviet composers in G.'s arrangements, jazz classics ; together with the singer T. Miansarova - laureate of International. festival in Helsinki (1959).
