Born September 21, 1959 in Johangeorgenshtadt, Saxony - German actor.
He is better known for his films Bunker (as SS Brigadefuhrer Wilhelm Monke), Speer and Hitler (Rudolf Hess), The Last Days of Sophia Scholl (Roland Freisler). He has starred in over 80 films. He directed the film "CI Angel". Producer of the film "Knockin 'on Heaven" .
In 2002 he received an award from the German Television (Deutscher Fernsehpreis) for his role in the film Dead Man. There is also an FDGB prize. (1989)
