Hoffman was born in Gainesville, Florida, the son of Charlotte and Robert Hoffman. At the age of seven, he moved with his family to Madison, Alabama. He has a younger brother - Chris and two younger sisters - Ashley and Lauren.
Hoffman decided to practice dancing in kindergarten after seeing Michael Jackson's "Thriller" video. He studied at the School of Arts, performed with the Ballet South troupe, led by Wes Chapman, the legend of American ballet. Hoffman is in great demand as a dancer and choreographer, working with such stars as Christina Aguilera, Asher, Mia, Enrique Iglesias, Marilyn Manson, as well as Ricky Martin, whom he dubbed in dance on the set of the music video.
Hoffman is a classical school dancer who has also been an award-winning hip-hop choreographer. He received the National Choreography Award for his work in Street Dance. Danced in Guess Who, Coach Carter, From Justin to Kelly, Dirty Dancing 2: Havana Nights, Gigli .
On television, Hoffman has appeared on projects such as the crime drama Vanished, the sitcom Quintuplets and the improvisation show Wild N 'Out.
