Born January 2, 1968, Bronx, New York, USA - American actor, producer, director and screenwriter.

His paternal grandfather was from Barbados. In addition to Cuba Jr., the family has three more children: Tommy, Omar and April. The family moved to Los Angeles after the release of Gooding Sr.'s hit song "Everybody Plays the Fool" in 1972. Two years later, he left his family.
Gruvemuvestart Cuba attended four different schools: North Hollywood High School, Tustin High School, Apple Valley High School, and John F. Kennedy High School. He served as class president in three of them.

In 1984, Gooding Jr. made his public debut at the opening of the Los Angeles Olympics with Lionel Richie's dance group. Gooding starred in commercials and television, and in 1988 landed his first role in the Eddie Murphy film A Trip to America.

Cuba Gooding Jr. won an Oscar for his role as Rod Tidwell in Jerry Maguire (1996). On January 21, 2002, his star was unveiled on the famous Walk of Fame. In 1997, People magazine included Cuba Gooding Jr. among the 50 most beautiful people in the world.
