Born October 19, 1976, Paris, France - French actor, film director, screenwriter and playwright.

In 1999, Vincent began attending courses at the National Conservatory of Dramatic Art in Paris, which he graduated in 2002. In 2004 he staged his first play. During the 2000s, Maken acted as an actor in several theatrical productions and also wrote and directed several plays. He became famous after working in the play The Idiot, staged in 2009 based on The Idiot by Fyodor Dostoevsky.

In 2012, as a director, he directed the short film What Remains of Us (Ce qu'il restera de nous), which was nominated for the Cesar Film Award in the Best Short Film category. The tape received the "Grand Prix" of the International Film Festival of Short Films in Clermont-Ferrand.

Vincent Makena was nominated for the Cesar award for the film "The Girl on July 14" as "the most promising young actor". In 2014, Maken starred in the films The Sadness Club and Eden. In 2015, he played the lead male role in Louis Garrel's film Friends, for which he was nominated for Best Actor for the 2016 Lumiere Film Awards.

Vincent Maken shot his first full-length feature film "Don Juan" in 2015, adapting the play of the same name by Moliere. The film was presented in the filmmakers section at the 2015 Locarno International Film Festival.

In July 2013 Vincent Maken was awarded the French Knight Order of Arts and Letters.
