Jason Kent Bateman was born in Rye, New York. His family moved to Salt Lake City, Utah when he was four and later to California. His father, Kent Bateman, is a writer, director; mother, Victoria Bateman, was a flight attendant. His older sister Justine Bateman is a famous American actress. Jason studied but never graduated from Pacific Hills High School.
Jason's acting career began in the sitcoms of the 80s and 90s: "Silver Spoons", "Your Move", "The Hogan Family", but he came to fame in 2003, after playing the role of Michael Bluth in the series "Arrested Development" ... For the performance of this role, he was awarded the Golden Globe Film Award.
