Maury Chaikin is a Canadian actor best known for his roles in such films as Mouse Hunt, Thug Island, Dancing With Wolves.

Maury Alan Chaikin was born on July 27, 1949 in Brooklyn, New York, and was one of three children of Irving College Professor Jr. and nurse Clariss Chaikin. His father was American, and his mother moved to the United States from Montreal, as a result of which Morey received dual citizenship. Chaikin's maternal uncle was Canadian actor and screenwriter George Bloomfield, who helped Maury early in his career. Chaikin studied drama at the State University of New York at Buffalo, and after graduation moved to Toronto, where he lived until his death.
