Julie Bowen was born in 1970 in Baltimore. She has two sisters, Julie became the middle child in the family. After graduating from school, the future actress was enrolled at Brown University. She graduated in 1991 with a BA in Art History. Bowen then spent a year in Florence, studying Renaissance works and practicing her knowledge of the Italian language.
