LaFleur has starred in many guest and lead roles on television series, including Angel and JAG. In 1983 he was invited to pilot the comedy series Another Ballgame, alongside Alex Karras and Susan Clarke. The series went through many changes prior to its premiere, and the series changed its name to Webster.
In 1993, LaFleur played baseball player Babe Ruth in The Sandlot. He had another notable role as the eccentric Red Sweeney in the family comedy "Man of the House". He also appeared in one of the episodes of the TV series "Damn Service at Mash Hospital" ("M * A * S * H") in season 9 ("Father's Day").
