Born January 21, 1958 in Canada, Toronto (Ontario). Graduated from the Juilliard School, majoring in theater. He began his acting career playing in Canadian films, making his debut in 1979 in the film "Champion Shot". Since the late 1980s, Michael Wincott has acted in Oliver Stone's films a number of times (for example, Born on July 4, 1989). Best known for his role in the film by Alex Proyas "The Raven" (1994), in which he played the main villain, nicknamed Top Dollar (the ringleader of black realtors). As an actor, he is especially in demand among independent directors.
