Born on June 7, 1957 in the city of Oktyabrsk, Kuibyshevskaya (now Samara) region.
Graduated from the Theater School. B.V.Schukin in 1980 and was admitted to the Moscow Art Theater.
In 1988 he joined the troupe of the theater. Eug. Vakhtangov.
Participated in the performances of the Theater. K.S. Stanislavsky, Theater of Nations, theater "Et cetera" .
Has starred in more than 20 films. He worked with such directors as M. Schweitzer, A. Efros, P. Fomenko, I. Dykhovichny.
Honored Artist of the Russian Federation (1995).
People's Artist of the Russian Federation (2001).
