Benjamin Biolay - French singer and composer, actor, musician and producer - was born on January 20, 1973. He is the brother of singer Coralie Clement, a couple of albums of which he wrote and produced himself. Also the ex-husband of Chiara Mastroianni, two children remained from the marriage.
His restrained vocal style in the lower register is somewhat reminiscent of Etienne Dao, the French pop star. With Keren Ann, whose first two albums were also co-written and co-published, Berjamin Biolay wrote several songs for Chambre avec Vue (French for Room with a View), Henri Salvador's successful comeback album. From that moment on, he began working as an author, arranger and producer for the rest of the French pop icons. Among them are Juliette Greco, Julien Clerc, Francoise Hardy and Vanessa Paradis.
He wrote and performed most of the songs on the soundtrack for the film by Arnaud Viara Clara and Me (2004). In the same year - with his wife in co-authorship - the album Home was recorded and released. After a couple of albums in the rock genre, he stopped working with a record company and began working on the first independent release, La Superbe, published by Naive Records in 2009. Since 2013 he has been in a romantic relationship with Vanessa Paradis, as a result of which a joint duet Profite ("Enjoy") was recorded on his album Vengeance. They met thanks to the designer Karl Lagerfeld in 2012.
