The future actor Ilya Isaev was born in 1977 in Tallinn (Estonia). As a child, I did not think about an acting career, and when it was time to choose a profession, I went to study at a mechanical engineering college. Although the boy sang in the choir from the age of 7 and at the age of 14 could already be considered a professional singer, Ilya chose the profession of an electrician. But, apparently, something was ripening in the soul of the young man, and at the same time he decided to study in a theater studio. In the studio at the Russian Drama Theater, the directors were Eduard Toman (Estonian and Russian actor) and Vasily Bezdushny (famous Estonian actor).
In 1996, Ilya moved to Moscow and, like his mentors in Tallinn, entered the drama school (it was not easy, competition for 600 people per place) named after. Shchepkina. In 2000 he successfully graduated from it, and he was offered a job at the Russian Academic Youth Theater.
