One of the founders and the most prominent representative of the new wave in French cinema. Had a success with the first film "Handsome Serge" (1958). Known, in part, for films that tell the story of the murders.
From 1964 to 1980, Claude Chabrol was married to actress Stephane Audran.
On September 12, 2010 Chabrol died at the age of 81.
