Hugh Grant was born on September 9, 1960 in England. At the age of 19, Hugh began his studies at Oxford College. In 1982, the first film with Hugh Grant in the title role was released - the comedy drama Privileged, but the picture was not very popular. After graduating from college, he performed in a troupe called The Jokers of Norfolk, also reviewed books and tried his hand at writing. From 1985 to 1986, he often flickered on television screens, playing in serials and various television projects.

As an actor, he became famous thanks to the movie Maurice, based on the novel by Forster, which is a melodrama about the relationship of gay students. For his role in this tape, Hugh was awarded a prize at the Venice Film Festival. Then he took part in the filming of the crime thriller White Evil, the success of which attracted the attention of directors to him, and as a result, in 1988 he starred in several films. The first was the detective drama Rowing with the Wind, in which Grant tried on the role of the famous classic poet George Byron. On the set, an affair began between the actor and Elizabeth Hurley, which lasted 13 years. This was followed by pictures: Nights in Bengal, the thriller Zarya, and the horror film Lair of the White Worm, which was based on Stoker's novel. And although the tapes did not become known to the whole world, they gave the actor invaluable experience.
The first truly significant award for the actor was the Golden Globe, which he received for playing in the movie Four Weddings and One Funeral. In 1999, Hugh soared to Olympus fame, starring in the melodrama Notting Hill. Subsequent films with Hugh Grant's participation only increased his popularity, among them comedy melodramas Bridget Jones's Diary and Love with a Notice, as well as the drama My Boy.
