Andrey Viktorovich Rudensky was born in Yekaterinburg in 1959. Having become a student of the Sverdlovsk Metallurgical College, Rudensky receives the specialty of a master of rolling production, at the same time he attends a circle of drama theater. Striving for higher education, Andrei Rudensky submits documents to the architectural institute, but does not give up acting, performing on the stage of the Palace of Youth.
In 1981, the troupe of the Maly Theater came to Sverdlovsk on tour, at the same time Rudensky met with Viktor Korshunov, a teacher at the Shchepkinsky School. Assessing the talent of the young man, Korshunov immediately enrolls Andrei in the second year of a theatrical university, and the architecture student, without hesitation, goes to Moscow.

Rudensky's first cinematic work will be the character of Klim Ivanovich Samgin in Victor Titov's historical series The Life of Klim Samgin.
