Born April 24, 1974 in Toledo (Ohio), USA.
In 1996, Kripke graduated from the University of Southern California School of Film and Television.
In 1997, Kripke wrote and directed two short films - the comedy Battle of the Sexes and Sincerely Devoted. Kripke was nominated for the 1997 Short Film Award for Sincerely Devoted, and in 1998 it won the Audience Award for Best Short Film.
Later in 2003, Kripke wrote the screenplay for The WB television series Tarzan, which, however, was taken off the air after eight episodes. Kripke's next work was the 2005 horror film Boogeyman, for which he wrote the script.
