Peter Riegert is an American actor, screenwriter and director, born in the Bronx.
In 1964, Rigert graduated from Ardsley High School and later from the University of Buffalo. Rigert's acting career began with the popular series "Damn Service at Mash Hospital" (1972 - 1983), a comedy drama by Charles S. Dubin, the series had seven Golden Globe awards.
Rigert has also starred in films such as The Mask, directed by Chuck Russell with Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz; Oscars directed by John Landis with Sylvester Stallone, We Bought a Zoo and others.
