William "Billy" Gardell (born August 20, 1969, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) is an American stand-up comedian and actor. He has been working in the comedy industry since 1989, but appeared in films and television much later. Best known for his role as Mike Biggs in the sitcom Mike and Molly.
Billy Gardell was born in Swissweil, Pennsylvania, near Pittsburgh, and attended Winter Park High School in Orange County, Florida in the mid-1980s. As a child, he moved to Florida with his mother and younger brother and sister after his parents divorced and only spent the summer in Pennsylvania.
Since 2001 Gardell has been married to Patty Knight. The couple have one son, William.
