Sarah Hadland has been dancing since the age of three. While at Wilmslow High School in Cheshire, she joined the youth group Tempo (formerly known as the Scamps) to perform beatboxing on amateur performances. At 19, after graduating from the Laine Theater Arts, she embarked on a theatrical career, appearing in the musicals Cats and Grease in London's West End. Six years later, she starred in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? It was during this period that Sarah Hadland began to improve her talent as a voice actress. Her voice spoke to a white kitten in an ad for Catsan, an American surfer in an ad for VO5 shampoo. She also provided the voiceover for the video game Dragon Quest VIII for PlayStation 2.
Sarah Hadland's television career began with supporting roles in the series Bad Girls and English Murder. She also starred in Magicians, starring comedians David Mitchell and Robert Webb, and in the BBC television movie The Disciples. In November 2009, she joined Miranda Hart in the BBC comedy series Miranda, based on the radio series Miranda Hart's Joke Shop. In 2011, Hadland starred as the new English teacher Linda Radley in the drama series Waterloo Street. She also starred on the CBBC's Horror Stories. In 2015, Sarah Hadland starred in the first season of the British comedy series Brotherly, which tells the story of two brothers who, after the death of their parents, have to become guardians of the youngest. The film also starred Johnny Flynn, Ben Ashenden, Ellie Taylor.
