Born August 10, 1972, Dallas, Texas, USA - American actress, television director and fashion model.
In 1988, she began her career as a child model, after which she moved to Los Angeles in the early nineties. In 1990, she studied acting with Stephanie March. She has worked as a model for Calvin Klein, Giorgio Armani and Donna Karan and has appeared on the covers of Elle, Cosmopolitan and Esquire.
In 1995, Harmon, like many other models, began her acting career in the television series Malibu Rescuers. This led her to star in his two-season spin-off Malibu Nights and a major role in the crime series C-16: FBI (1997-98). She is best known for her role as Assistant District Attorney Abby Carmichael in Law & Order, where she starred from 1998 to 2001. She also appeared in several episodes of his spin-off Law & Order: Special Victims Unit during the first season.
After leaving Law & Order, Harmon decided to focus on her film career, as she had to give up starring roles in Charlie's Angels and Spy Kids due to commitments to the show. She starred in the romantic comedy Ask Cindy, and later starred in Agent Cody Banks, The Deal, Fun with Dick and Jane, and Game's End. In 2005, she returned to television with the lead role in the prime-time soap opera Incomprehensible, which was taken off the air after two episodes. In 2010, Harmon began playing one of the main roles in the TNT television series "Rizzoli and Isles" with Sasha Alexander. The series immediately achieved success in the ratings and, as a result, became a major achievement in the career of an actress. The show ended after seven seasons in 2016.
Harmon is a member of the Republican Party and has supported many of the offensive and unpopular opinions of its supporters.
