Born November 1, 1971, Helsinki, Finland - Finnish actor, screenwriter and director.

After graduating from high school, the young man entered the Helsinki Theater Academy.

Volanen made his big screen debut in 1991 in Ere Kokkonen's comedy Sergeant Poop and Submersibles.

The actor is a two-time winner of the Jussi Award in the Best Supporting Actor nomination for his work in the films Male Work and The Giant.

Since 2017, he started working in the TV production and distribution company "Rabbit Films" as a drama manager.
